Press Release: Susan McArthur and the Conservatives have an infrastructure plan for Glengarry–Prescott–Russell
CASSELMAN, ON: As she campaigns across the riding, the Conservative candidate in Glengarry–Prescott–Russell, Mrs. Susan McArthur, outlined her priorities regarding infrastructures.
Susan McArthur will:
Make sure that residents of GPR have access to High-Speed Internet as quickly as possible.
Work with provincial and municipal authorities on improving Highway 174 and transit to Ottawa.
Work with municipalities to maximize federal investments in the riding.
Work to put in place designated offices where employees of the federal civil service can work, without having to commute to their regular office (flexi-work).“Glengarry–Prescott–Russell has been neglected by the Liberals, like all other rural areas. It is – time for a change. It is time that the riding receives more funding from the Federal Government. And it is more than time that all have access to High-Speed Internet”, Mrs. McArthur declared.
On September 1, the Hon. Erin O’Toole, Leader of Canada’s Conservatives, announced our plan to build key infrastructure to get the economy moving through Canada’s Recovery Plan.
Canada’s Recovery Plan will:
Immediately invest in critical projects that will put hundreds of thousands of Canadians to work, cut commute time, and reduce emissions.
Provide more flexibility to municipalities and First Nations by removing onerous requirements to receive federal infrastructure funding.
Scrap the failed Canada Infrastructure Bank and commit the money sitting unused on its books to infrastructure projects that can strengthen our economy.
Reprioritize the Investing in Canada Plan towards infrastructure projects that would have the maximum benefit for economic recovery.
Build digital infrastructure to connect all of Canada to high-speed Internet by 2025.
“Only Canada’s Conservatives have a plan to secure the future by unleashing our infrastructure potential to fuel our recovery and secure jobs. With me, residents of Glengarry–Prescott–Russell will have a Member of Parliament committed to deliver for the riding” concluded Mrs. McArthur.
